One of our top priorities here at Samaritan Village has always been to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our residents. This statement especially rings true as we reflect on this past year and all of the events that have revolved around the Coronavirus pandemic. For this reason, we are proud to be a leader in COVID-19 prevention by implementing high-level sanitation, screening, and monitoring systems for our community. Keep reading to learn more about how we’ve been staying stronger together during this time and how we continue to do our part to stop the spread.
Most recently, we have been holding on-campus clinics that have granted access to the COVID-19 vaccine for all of our residents. As of February 11th, 210 residents had received their second dose and 10 residents had received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. By March 4th of this year, we are happy to report that 96% of our residents are fully vaccinated against this virus.
In an effort to minimize virus exposure, we have also continued with daily contact-free meal delivery services as well as weekly coordinated socially distanced events. It’s important to note that as a whole organization, we take thorough sanitation, screening, and monitoring seriously. Our team practices social distancing, wears face masks, and undergoes daily screening practices as well as COVID-19 specialized training in compliance with the current CDC guidelines.
We hope that this blog gave you some insight into how we have adapted to better serve our community throughout the past year. As always, feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
